  • Posted

Lucy Baldwin of Paragon Costs and Terri Anson-Dean of TLT have recently been appointed co-chair of Women Lawyers Division (Bristol). Lucy and Terri have taken over the reins from Diana Johnson and will be supported by Kath Roe, as treasurer, and a committee of willing volunteers; which this year includes five new members.

WLD is a networking group for female students, solicitors and legal professionals in and around Bristol. They arrange a variety of events throughout the year which include fun and social events, such as networking drinks and the summer quiz which has recently taken place; as well as talks aimed at woman to help develop both personally and professionally. WLD’s next event is the Culture and Lifestyle walk around Bristol on 20 July 2016 (for more information or details of how to sign up for this, please contact WLD Bristol using the below details).

As well as change of chair, WLD has also taken the opportunity to change their chosen charity from Above and Beyond - who they have supported for the last two years - to Survive. Survive is fantastic a charity which helps those who are victims of domestic abuse and WLD are proud to have them as their chosen charity this year.

Lucy and Terri are both excited to have taken on this role and are very much looking forward to the next year. They would also like to extend their thanks do Diana for her great work over the last two years.

They would also like to pass their gratitude on to Stephanie Nunley who has stepped down from the committee; having been one of initial co-founders of WLD (Bristol). Stephanie has been pivotal in developing the group and, whilst she will remain a member, will be missed as part of the committee.

WLD are currently offering half price membership (bringing the cost from £40 to £20) for anyone who signs up between now and the end of 2016.

For any further information about how to join, please email WLD (Bristol) at wldbristol@gmail.com.
