Paragon Costs Christmas Charity Quiz

  • Posted

Paragon Costs hosted a Christmas Quiz at City Deli on Monday 7th December for clients and referrers in aid of raising funds for their chosen charity The Bristol Children’s Help Society.  Paragon’s own Richie Rees and Janina Muromceva hosted the quiz in which 9 teams took part.

Irwin Mitchell – Tiny Tim’s Timesheets

Mowbray Woodwards – The Mowbaubles

Novum – Merry Quizzmass

Guildhall Chambers – Carole

Thompsons - No Reasonable Prospects

TLT – Every time I close my eyes, I touch my Elf (winner of best team name)

Barcan + Kirby – Cheeses of Nazereth (second best name)

Paragon Costs – Points of Quizpute

Hobs – Quizzy Rascals (though changed their name every round!)

The evening involved a number of festive question rounds concluding in a 60 second snowflake making contest! Competition was fierce as the teams battled it out for the first place prize of a bottle of prosecco each for the winners, along with a beatiful ornamental gnome!

The evening was accompanied by mulled wine and cider as well as chilli con carne (chilli non carne for the vegetarians) and chips and dips. Entrants were allowed to purchase Jokers to double their points in each round…with some teams purchasing more than others! Well done to Novum Law who took the first prize. Second prize was awarded to Barcan + Kirby and they took home a lovely box of chocolates. Paragon Costs’ own team, along with Bob Hollis of BCHS, took the ‘wooden spoon’ prize of a tinned Christmas dinner!

There was also a ‘Best Christmas Jumper’ prize which went to Katherine Moyse of Barcan + Kirby for her ‘Happy Birthday Jesus’ jumper. A special mention was given to Hobs and their team (with honarary member Claire Tomlin of Paragon) in recognition of their ‘uniform' team jumpers!

A grand total of £378.30 was raised for the charity and a great evening enjoyed by all. With thanks to everyone who came along and took part and to City Deli for hosting a great night!
