A Paragon Egg-stravaganza!

  • Posted

Easter will soon enough be upon us and with that in mind on the evening of Tuesday 15th March 2016 Paragon were delighted to host a fun-filled, chocolate themed, treasure hunt and quiz, around the streets of Bristol.

The evening kicked off in the Cosy Club where all the teams gathered in an egg-static fashion to register their team names and be given their first clue for the night and instructions to commence the hunt.

Participating in the egg-citement were six teams:  Misfits Army (TLT); TLT Chocolatiers (TLT); Stop Poaching My Eggs (Barcan + Kirby); Arnold SchwarzenEgger as the Eggsterminator Easter La Vista Baby (Hobbs); Mowbray Eggheads (Mowbray Woodwards); and Team Of Potentials (Novum Law).

The egg-cellent prizes on offer were two large Paragon themed chocolate eggs together with some goodies of the alcoholic variety.

The egg-cited teams set off in a staggered fashion and by following a series of clues made their way to locations around the city including Guilbert’s Chocolatiers on Small Street,  The Grand Hotel on Broad Street, Chomp on St Nicholas Street, The Odeon Cinema on Union Street, The Royal Marriott Hotel on College Green and the Christmas Steps.

On route, to keep them occupied, the teams completed a series of chocolate themed questions.  Teams were encouraged to tweet pictures of their adventures and to text for further clues.

After all that egg-exercise, making their way around each of the six locations, all the teams (at varying speeds) made their way back, in a somewhat chillier state than they left, to some much needed warmth and refreshment at the Cosy Club where their times were recorded and the scores were counted.

The winners of the evening were:

Stop Poaching My Eggs - Barcan + Kirby – Fastest Time

Eggsterminator Easter La Vista Baby - Hobbs – Highest Quiz Score (some assistance from Google perhaps!)

Team Of Potentials - Novum Law – Best Picture (see below)

An egg-splosive total of £128  was raised for The Bristol Children’s Help Society and despite the cold it proved a great evening for all involved; even the chilly Paragoners who manned the locations to distribute the clues.  Well done to the winners and a great big thanks to everyone who took part.

Happy Easter from us all here at Paragon!
